The Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) is located 30 km east of the center of Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. It is the largest airport in the country and one of the busiest in Southeast Asia.
The airport was opened in 2006 and replaced the old Don Mueang Airport. Suvarnabhumi International has two terminals that serve both international and domestic flights. Over 60 million passengers pass through the airport annually.

Suvarnabhumi International - a new airport located 20 km from Bangkok in the Bang Phli district, Samut Prakan province. The airport has been operating since September 2006. It has one terminal consisting of 7 floors, with a total terminal area of 560 square meters.
The airport has two runways, 3700 and 4000 meters long, and there are plans to build 2 more runways in the future. Suvarnabhumi International belongs to the large company "Airports of Thailand". During the design phase, the airport was named "Nong Nguhau", but before its opening, King Bhumibol Adulyadej renamed it to "Suvarnabhumi" ("Golden Land").
