Baggage allowance on KLM airlines
Cabin baggage
The following applies to both European and intercontinental flights.
In economy class, passengers are allowed to bring 1 piece of cabin baggage with dimensions not exceeding 55*35*25 cm. In business class, passengers are allowed to bring 2 pieces of cabin baggage with the same dimensions.
In addition, both economy and business class passengers are allowed to bring an accessory such as a handbag, briefcase, or laptop. The dimensions of the accessory should not exceed 40*30*15 cm. The only difference is the weight allowance: 12 kg for economy class and 18 kg for business class.
You may be required to check in your cabin baggage if you are carrying a larger bag. This may be necessary due to limited overhead bin space in the aircraft cabin.
Checked baggage
In economy class, passengers are allowed to check in one piece of baggage weighing up to 23 kg and with dimensions totaling no more than 158 cm.
In business class, passengers are allowed to check in two pieces of baggage, each weighing up to 23 kg. The total dimensions of each piece should not exceed 158 cm.
For flights departing on or after April 10 from the US to Canada or vice versa, or within the Schengen area, all baggage is subject to a fee.

Traveling with a child
When traveling with a child under 2 years old, the airline provides:
- infant food;
- if you are traveling between continents, you can reserve a bassinet, but this option must be arranged in advance;
- when pre-arranged, one infant car seat or booster seat (per child) is transported free of charge;
- a stroller for the child can also be transported free of charge.
If a separate seat is booked for a child under 2 years old, they are allowed the same amount of baggage and cabin baggage as an adult passenger.
