Rules for carry-on baggage

If you are flying in "Comfort" or "Economy" class, you can carry a total of up to 10 kg on board the aircraft. This allowance is increased by 5 kilograms for passengers traveling in business class. However, no matter how expensive your ticket is, the dimensions of the largest bag in your baggage should not exceed the following numbers:

• length - maximum 55 cm;
• width - maximum 40 cm;
• height - maximum 25 cm.

Checked baggage

This includes the bags and suitcases that you check in. It must be registered by the airline staff before the flight. There are certain baggage allowance rules that depend on the class you are traveling in:

• In "Economy" class, only one piece of baggage is allowed, which should not exceed 23 kg in weight;
• Tickets for higher-ranked seats - the same "Economy" class, but in the "Premium" and "Comfort" segments - allow you to check in 2 bags, each weighing no more than 23 kg;
• The same applies to business class, but the weight of each piece is increased to 32 kg.

Exceptions

The airline makes small exceptions for travelers to the following cities and routes:

• Delhi.
• Beijing.
• Shanghai.
• Hanoi.
• Ho Chi Minh City.

Excess baggage

Every traveler has situations when they need to take a lot of baggage. Despite the strict rules of "Aeroflot" on this matter, exceptions are always allowed, but for a certain fee.

So, if you comply with the weight limit but exceed the normative limits on the number of baggage items per person, you will have to pay according to the following rates:

1. If you are traveling within Russia, the second piece of baggage per person will cost 2500 rubles, and the third and subsequent ones - 7500 rubles each.
2. In case of a flight from Russia to the USA, as well as to Asia abroad, the price for the second piece of baggage will be 100 dollars or euros, and for the third and subsequent ones - twice as much.
3. On other routes, such exceeding of the normative limits is charged at a rate of 50 dollars or euros for the second piece, and a triple amount for subsequent pieces.

If you exceed the weight limit, the rates will be as follows:

1. For flights within Russia - 2500 rubles in economy class, 5000 rubles in business class.
2. On international routes to/from the USA, as well as for international flights to Asia - 125 dollars or euros (respectively, 200 dollars or euros for business class passengers).
3. In other cases - 100 dollars or euros for economy class, and 150 for business class.

Traveling with a child

If you want to bring a child on board, the following rules will apply:

• You can only register one child under two years old without a separate seat on 1 ticket. This registration is free for flights within Russia, and there is a 90% discount on international flights.
• If the child is under two years old but for some reason you want to have a separate seat for them, the discount on such a ticket will depend on the fare and in some cases can reach 50%.

As for baggage for a child, you should rely on the following norms:

• If you are traveling without a seat, only one piece of baggage is available for the child, weighing no more than 10 kg, and the sum of its three dimensions should not exceed 115 cm. If you want to have a separate seat for the child, the baggage allowance is calculated according to the fare and class.
• You can bring a bassinet and a stroller for free, but they must weigh less than 20 kg.
