Airport Henri Coanda International

The Henri Coanda International Airport (also known as the Bucharest Airport) is located 16 km north of the center of Bucharest, the capital of Romania. The coordinates of the airport are 26.077063, 44.571156.

The airport was opened in 1912 and was called Baneasa Airport until 2004, when it was renamed in honor of Henri Coanda, the first Romanian astronaut.

The Henri Coanda International Airport serves over 12 million passengers per year and is the largest airport in Romania. It has two terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flights and some international flights, and Terminal 2 for most international flights.
