The airport was opened in 1930 and named after Cuba's national hero, Jose Marti. Today, Jose Marti International is the largest airport in Cuba, serving over 4 million passengers per year.

The airport has one terminal, which is divided into arrival and departure zones. The terminal features numerous shops, restaurants, and cafes, as well as ATMs and currency exchange services.

From Jose Marti International Airport, you can reach the center of Havana by taxi or bus. Taxis can be ordered at the taxi counter in the airport, and buses depart every 30 minutes from the terminal. Car rental services are also available at the airport.
