Airport Gonggar/Lhasa

The Gonggar/Lhasa Airport (also known as Lhasa Gonggar Airport) is located 62 km southeast of the city of Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region in China. The airport's coordinates are 90.90051 east longitude and 29.29305 north latitude.

The airport was opened in 1965 and has since been modernized and expanded. It is now one of the highest airports in the world, situated at an elevation of 3,570 meters above sea level.

The Gonggar/Lhasa Airport serves both domestic and international flights. Dozens of flights arrive and depart here daily to various cities in China, as well as to Nepal, Bhutan, and India.

The airport has multiple terminals, including an international terminal that features shops, restaurants, cafes, and other amenities for passengers. There are also ATMs, currency exchange services, and free Wi-Fi available.

Passengers can reach the city of Lhasa by taxi or bus. Taxis can be ordered at the airport, and buses depart every 30 minutes. Car rental services are also available at the airport.
