Airport Sam Mbakwe International

The Sam Mbakwe International Airport (also known as Owerri Airport) is located in the city of Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. Its coordinates are 7.201676°N latitude and 5.427866°E longitude.

The airport was opened in 1994 and named after the former governor of Imo State, Sam Mbakwe. It serves both domestic and international flights.

The airport has one terminal that can accommodate up to 500 passengers per hour. It features several cafes and shops, as well as ATMs and currency exchange services.
