Antonov An-140 is a Ukrainian passenger aircraft developed and produced by Antonov company. It was created based on the An-74 model and is designed to carry up to 52 passengers for distances up to 3,600 km.
The first flight of the An-140 took place in September 1997, and serial production began in 2002. The aircraft is equipped with two turboprop engines TV3-117VMA-SBM1, which provide a speed of up to 575 km/h.
The An-140 has a length of 22.7 m, a wingspan of 24.5 m, and a height of 8.2 m. The maximum takeoff weight is 21,500 kg, and the maximum flight range is 3,600 km.
The aircraft has two versions: An-140-100 and An-140-110. The first version is designed for passenger transportation, while the second is for cargo and passenger transportation.
The An-140 is operated in various countries, including Ukraine, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and others. In 2014, an upgraded version, the An-140-100M, was released, which received new engines and electronics.
