Lockheed L-1011 TriStar is a wide-body passenger aircraft developed and produced by Lockheed Corporation in the 1970s. It was created to compete with the Boeing 747 and Douglas DC-10 and was one of the first aircraft equipped with an automatic flight control system.

The L-1011 had six variants: L-1011-1, L-1011-50, L-1011-100, L-1011-150, L-1011-200, and L-1011-250. They differed in fuselage length, passenger capacity, and range.

The L-1011-1 was the first model released in 1972. It had a length of 50.1 meters and could carry up to 400 passengers up to a range of 9,000 km.

The L-1011-50 was a shortened version released in 1975. It had a length of 46.6 meters and could carry up to 246 passengers up to a range of 9,000 km.

The L-1011-250 was the last model released in 1981. It had a length of 50.1 meters and could carry up to 400 passengers up to a range of 11,000 km.

The L-1011 was powered by three Rolls-Royce RB211 engines, which provided it with high power and efficiency. It also had a modern automatic flight control system that allowed it to perform automatic landings and takeoffs.

A total of 250 L-1011 aircraft were produced, which were used as passenger and cargo aircraft, as well as military transport aircraft. Despite its popularity in the 1970s, the L-1011 was replaced by more modern aircraft in the 1990s, and most of them were retired from service.
