Airport Williams Gateway

The Williams Gateway Airport (IATA: AZA, ICAO: KIWA) is located in Mesa, Arizona, USA, 30 km southeast of Phoenix. The airport's coordinates are -111.655556 33.307777.

The airport was opened in 1941 as Williams Air Force Base and was used by the US Air Force for pilot training. In 1993, the base was closed and in 1994 it was transferred to civilian ownership and renamed Williams Gateway Airport.

Today, Williams Gateway Airport serves commercial flights, including flights from low-cost carriers Allegiant Air and WestJet. The airport has a runway that is 3.6 km long and can accommodate aircraft of all types.
