Ilyushin IL-114

Aircraft Information Ilyushin IL-114

Ilyushin IL-114 is a Russian turboprop passenger aircraft, developed in the 1980s. It was created to replace outdated models such as the An-24 and An-26.

The IL-114 has two turboprop engines and can carry up to 64 passengers for distances up to 1,500 km. The aircraft was designed to meet the requirements of operation in harsh climate conditions and underdeveloped airport infrastructure.

The first flight of the IL-114 took place in 1990, but due to financial and technical problems, serial production only began in 1998. A total of 20 aircraft were produced, but production was suspended in 2012 due to lack of orders.

In 2017, it was announced that production of the IL-114 would be resumed in the IL-114-300 modification, which will be equipped with modern engines and electronics. The new modification is expected to begin serial production in 2021.

The most comfortable and safe places on the plane

Like in any other aircraft, the safest seats in the Ilyushin IL-114 are the rows at the beginning and end of the cabin, as well as the seats near the emergency exits. However, the Ilyushin IL-114 does not have designated seats for passengers with limited mobility, so when choosing a seat, it is important to consider your individual needs and capabilities.

As for comfort, the most comfortable seats in the Ilyushin IL-114 are the rows 1 to 4, as they are located closer to the front of the aircraft where noise and vibrations are reduced. It is also worth noting that the Ilyushin IL-114 does not have class divisions, so all seats have the same level of comfort.
