Fairchild Dornier 728JET

Aircraft Information Fairchild Dornier 728JET

Fairchild Dornier 728JET is a medium-range passenger aircraft developed by the German company Fairchild Dornier in the 1990s. It was designed to replace the outdated Dornier 328 models and was the first aircraft created by the company after its acquisition by the American company Fairchild Aircraft.

The aircraft is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A turbofan engines, which provide a speed of up to 870 km/h and a range of up to 3,700 km. It can carry up to 70 passengers depending on the cabin configuration.

Fairchild Dornier 728JET was introduced at the Le Bourget Air Show in 1997, but production was suspended in 2002 due to the company's financial problems. A total of 25 aircraft were built, but none of them were sold in the United States. Some of them are used as VIP aircraft or for cargo transportation.

The most comfortable and safe places on the plane

Like in any other aircraft, the safest seats in the Fairchild Dornier 728JET are the rows located closer to the exit. These are usually the first rows of the economy class and business class, as well as the rows above the wing of the aircraft.

In addition, the most comfortable seats in this aircraft are the window seats, as they provide the best view of the surrounding world and allow you to avoid the inconvenience of passengers passing through the aisle.

It is also worth noting that seats near the exit of the aircraft may have limited legroom, so if you need more legroom, it is better to choose seats in other rows.

Finally, if you are traveling with children or need extra space, you can choose seats in the first rows of the economy class, where there is usually more legroom and space for storing carry-on baggage.
