Airport Jose Maria Cordova

The Jose Maria Cordova Airport (IATA code MDE) is located in the city of Rionegro, 35 km southeast of Medellin, Colombia. It is the second largest airport in Colombia and serves over 7 million passengers per year.

The airport was opened in 1985 and named after Jose Maria Cordova, a Colombian military pilot who died in an airplane crash in 1958.
